Man charged with killing ‘alleged’ coach at Grout Cleaners
Man charged in connection with the killing of his former coach at a Grout cleaner is a retired policeman, police say.
Giacomo Mignini, 55, is accused of shooting his former boss and a female co-worker in their homes in the village of Grinzani on Thursday.
Investigators said Mignino, who is originally from Milan, went to the house in the late afternoon and shot the deceased in his apartment before fleeing to a nearby villa.
He was arrested at the scene.
According to police, the two men were working at the house when Migni killed the deceased.
He had previously been arrested at a similar house in Rome, in a robbery case.
The police have not said what the motive for the crime was.
Mignini’s lawyer, Giuseppe Vannato, said Mignedini’s actions were the result of a personal feud with his former employer, who had refused to pay him wages.
He said his client had suffered from mental health problems and had been in prison for almost two years.
Police said Middini had been on probation for his crimes.
